Doula Services for a Parent in Need

As many  know, I love working with people. I've worked with all types of individuals over my career, including pregnant people who are homeless or under housed, teens, and youth who are crown wards and living independently.  

With your donation, I can offer to provide prenatal education, or birth doula services to a pregnant person who needs additional support and resources, who couldn't afford a doula otherwise.  Some of the folks I've supported haven't had family in town, need considerable breastfeeding support, don't have transportation, need solid new-parenting advice, and lots of reassurance. 

My goal would be to offer my services within the year of 2018. My normal fee for doula services is $850.  This allows the individual to get some additional follow up postpartum support as needed following their birth. 

I wish I was generally in the position to offer volunteer doula services on a regular basis, but given the time away from my family, needing to secure a back-up doula, and the growing demand for my services, I do need to charge for my time.  By giving to my GoFundMe, you are allowing me to assist a pregnant person in a momentous life occasion.
