Doug's Got New Music Coming: Will you Fund CDs and Vinyl?
Donation protected
Hello everyone. I've just finished all of my tracking for my fifth studio album. It's called We'll be Fine. It sounds pretty optimistic, given everything that is going on in the world, and certainly there is a bit of irony involved. But my producer, Jud Caswell, said he has noticed many of my songs display a kind of "hard-won optimism," and I believe that is maybe particularly true of this album. It doesn't ignore the darkness, but it recognizes that we are not powerless to find light in our lives and in each other.
Here's the reason for this fundraiser: so far I've covered all of the recording costs out of pocket for the record, but what I want to ask you about is "physical media" - CDs and vinyl. Do you want it? Would you help to pay for it? It's a real puzzle for artists these days and it's easy to waste money on media that no one wants. I'm looking to raise $1,500 to support the initial run of CDs and vinyl if you want them. If not, we can just go digital. If you want something you can hold in your hand, that can't be removed at the whim of a tech company, then let me know by making a contribution. If we hit our goal, everyone who contributes will get a copy of the album in their preferred format, plus some bonuses we're still cooking up.
So thank you in advance. I so appreciate your support.
