WHY 
"X's & O's" has been a passion project of mine over the last couple of years, which started with a 2-year span of writing new songs as I began performing live sets again, as well as digging up and re-working songs that I've written over the past 16 years that have never seen a studio recording.

After hearing many of you asking, "Where can I hear these songs?" I decided that it was time to actually sit down and create the best versions of them that I could. That meant creating drum tracks, laying down all the instruments and vocals whenever time allotted, and mixing/mastering each track so that they sound as great as they possible can for your listening pleasure!

Writing music is one of the greatest joys that exists in my life, and it means the world to me that so many of you not only support me with such great encouragement verbally, but that you actually want to listen to the songs that I've penned over the years...like regularly. That blows me away. 

I feel the most comfortable when writing and performing, and I thank you for all of your support, no matter the avenue. Thanks for letting this small-town kid spread his creative wings and produce something for you to enjoy. I'm truly, truly grateful. 

WHAT
"X's & O's" will include 10 original songs:

9. The Last Time (Live)
10. X's & O's

Three of these songs were written 10+ years ago and never made it to the recording process passed a live recording of 2 sets I performed in 2007, while the rest were merely 7 of about 30 new songs that were written in the last 2 years (yes, that means there's already enough material to record ANOTHER record shortly after the release of "X's & O's," but that's another story for another time). 

While I could go through and tell you what each of these songs mean to me and what inspired them, they're meant for you just as much as they're meant for me. So, I'll let you find your meaning in each of these tunes,and then we can discuss how they connect to you through social media,conversations, etc. 

HOW
All of these songs were recorded by me in my home studio over the last year-plus. It wasn't in the budget to go into a swanky professional studio to record this album, BUT, as you've already heard via the samples above, this isn't a collection of scratch tracks or poorly crafted demos. This is a polished album that should pair well with any glass of sweet tea...cold beer...or the other tracks currently dominating your playlists. 

COST 
We're raising money for the production of the physical album, t-shirts, promotional materials, social media advertising, digital distribution to Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Music, etc., and other costs that accrue when trying to get one's music out to the masses. This also gives you a chance to pre-order the album in whatever your preferred format is!

TIMELINE
We have 30 days to reach our goal!  The campaign will end on July 31st. The date we're shooting for the album's release is August 23rd, so the record will be sitting in a folder ready to send to the press and digital distributors as soon as funds begin to come in. Of course, if you pledge $10 or more, you're going to get a digital copy of the album sent to your email address at the beginning of August, bypassing the wait for a physical copy or the need to wait for it to show up on your favorite streaming platform.
