Douglas Cunningham Allen Scholarship at UT

In 2015, I met Doug, the love of my life, at the age of 50. After four beautiful years together, we married on the garden island of Kauai October 17, 2019. The picture was taken about half an hour after we married, right after a rogue rainstorm popped out of nowhere and drenched us.
On February 17, 2020, Doug underwent bifemoral aortic bypass surgery. The surgery went well, but complications arose the following day. Despite the tireless and heroic efforts of MANY skilled professionals over three days, my beloved husband, and the future we'd planned, was stolen from me on February 20, 2020.
Doug had few passions: his family, theatre, UT (GO, VOLS, GO!), and helping people, having spent his career as a mental health counselor.
His family can think of no better way to honor Doug than to let his memory live on through a scholarship for UT Knoxville theatre majors.
If we are unable to collect sufficient funds to endow a scholarship, ALL proceeds will be donated among local Nashville 501(c)3 community theatre companies. Under NO circumstances will ANY funds collected be used for personal purposes.
