Doug Langan Fund

Donation protected
Over 7 months ago, our friend and co-worker Doug Langan was diagnosed with terminal cancer and is no longer able to work. To assist with related medical expenses, Saint John Hyundai is helping to raise funds for Doug and his family. Doug has always been one to help those in need and now we need to support him.

Please give generously.  We wish Doug the best and send him our love.

Saint John Hyundai's General Sales Manager, Donna Gulliver took some time to  write about Doug and his involvement with Timbits and high-level hockey in  New Brunswick. "Doug was always at the rink and happy to help anyone who  needed it. So many players and families benefited from the time Doug and  Wendy spent on team fundraisers. Doug always had a smile on his face.  Everyone misses his stories and seeing him at the rink.

Mark Farwell has this to say about Doug:

About Doug, what to say. I’ve worked with Doug for 4 years and he came to work every day with a smile on his face and time to talk about anything. We solved many problems over the years and he always helped who ever needed the assistance. I remember when I started here, Doug took the time to tell me the ins and outs of the business and help me whenever I didn’t know what to do.

Doug loves his family and his boys were the topic of conversation a lot, hockey, ball hockey, school and work, he is a very proud husband, father and grandfather! And his daughter and granddaughter are the apple of his eye! Whenever they came to visit or brought him lunch Doug would have a bright smile on his face for the rest of the day.

Doug treated his customers like family, always available for them to come and chat or have a cup of coffee, or in Doug’s case, hot Chocolate.  Doug always had time to listen to their stories and enjoyed telling stories almost as much!

Not a day goes by that I don’t miss seeing him here and hearing his distinctive laugh, and knowing he is having fun at his job! He always said the best part of the job was meeting and talking to new people and finding out what their story is.

Tammy Doyle shared her thoughts about Doug as well:

He genuinely wanted to know how you were doing and how he could make your day better. He always wanted to make people smile. One time he knew I was having a rough day so he went out back and picked a rose off the rose bush to cheer me up.

You could count on him to make you laugh at least once a day if not more! He loved his candy, especially the winter green life saver mints and turtles. His family was the most important thing in his life, when his granddaughter was born you could see the change in him. And from that day on she was the light of his life!
