Double Lung Transplant Candidate

For those of you that know me, I live for my family and want nothing more than to enjoy spending time with them. I loved to fish and dance and be outside with my dog.

I received amazing, miraculous news on Friday that I am a candidate to receive a double lung transplant. I will have to temporarily relocate to actually be listed. I will have to be close to the hospital prior to the transplant and for several months after.
My life, as it is now has many physical limitations but I look forward to a better future and the chance to be active and not be connected to an oxygen hose that provides my lifeline.

I have worked very hard to stay as healthy and as strong as possible to prepare for the day that the doctor's decided that I was eligible for the surgery. It was a glorious day and my goal is to honor this opportunity and battle any obstacle I may have.
