<div><strong><em>Dit is niet het einde; </em></strong>is een boek- en theaterproject waarmee wij het zwijgen over depressie en suïcidale gedachten willen doorbreken. Want elke dag eerder praten over hoe het écht met je gaat, is een stap dichter bij de juiste hulp én herstel. En wij willen laten zien dat herstel daadwerkelijk mogelijk is, ook al lijkt dat in de donkerste momenten van een depressie onvoorstelbaar.

<div>In het boek en de theatervoorstelling komen de verhalen van 5 nu jongvolwassen meiden die in de puberteit depressief zijn geweest, en hun ouders, tot leven. Het zijn stuk voor stuk rauwe, eerlijke, confronterende verhalen die eindigen in een nieuw toekomstperspectief.

<div>Wie zijn wij? Wij zijn Marlies (moeder) en Tess (dochter) van der Hout. Een van de verhalen in het boek en in de theatervoorstelling is dat van onszelf.

<div><strong>Herkenning, erkenning, hoop en perspectie</strong>f, dat is wat wij met ons boek en theatervoorstelling <em>Dit is niet het einde;</em> willen bieden aan jongeren die nú een eenzame strijd tegen depressie voeren.

<div>Het ingezamelde geld wordt ingezet om de theatervoorstelling verder te ontwikkelen, en op 20 maart '26 voor de eerste keer<em> </em>te spelen. En om een eerste oplage van het boek te laten drukken, waarvan een deel gratis wordt verspreid. Het uiteindelijk doel is het boek te verspreiden onder zorgcoördinatoren van alle middelbare scholen en MBO's in Nederland. Met deze crowdfunding zetten wij een eerste stap richting dat doel.

<div><strong>Gedragen door ervaringsdeskundigen</strong>

<div>Het boek en de theatervoorstelling zijn een co-productie van mijn dochter en mijzelf: Zij interviewde de jongeren, ik werkte de verhalen uit.

<div>Wij werken zo veel mogelijk met ervaringsdeskundigen. Zo zijn de illustraties in het boek van de hand van een van de jongeren die wij interviewden. En ook de theatervoorstelling komt tot stand in samenwerking met een van de geïnterviewden.
