Doomsday: The Edgar Allan Poe Reading Marathon

Tune in to the 24-hour Doomsday reading NOW using this updated the YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqP6alhOmEg

Goodness! Can you feel how close we are? Because we've nearly met our goal, we've been advised to raise our request to carry through the actual Doomsday reading, which starts TOMORROW.

Every tiny bit helps bring us a step closer to our goal. Every dollar means more money in the pockets of the talented cast and crew that will bring Edgar Allan Poe alive in our first-ever stage production, "Edgar Allan Poe's Blood, Sweat and Fears," opening October 14.

So forget James Joyce and Bloomsday! It's time for Edgar Allan Poe and Doomsday. Starting at 7 PM on August 26, and going on for 24 straight hours, you'll be able to watch a live stream of the first annual marathon reading of the works of Edgar Allan Poe -- all to benefit The National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre's first LIVE production! (www.poetheatre.org).

Log on to YouTube on August 26 to watch (and hear) the marathon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqP6alhOmEg

Of all our projects in the works, none is more important right now than our first-ever LIVE theatrical production, "Edgar Allan Poe's Blood, Sweat & Fears."

A dedicated group of Poe fans and actors have committed to a 24-hour marathon of reading from Poe's "Tales of Mystery and Imagination," non-stop. We are committed to showing everyone how important the works of Poe are to literature, culture and education.

Your tax-deductible donation will help the talented actors and technical staff bringing this show to the stage. It will also help us with important additional projects, such as using the works of Poe to help with English literacy in schools, and our on-going Poe Theatre on the Air series of radio dramas.

Come watch and hear this first-ever annual event, beginning 7 PM on August 26 on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqP6alhOmEg

The 501(c)3 non-profit The National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre is dedicated to adapting the works of Edgar Allan Poe for the stage, for broadcast, schools and other means of outreach.
