<div>ich bin Mike, 51, Vater von 2 Kindern und ich habe Krebs im Endstadium. Voller Trauer schreibe ich euch, denn ich werde in wenigen Tagen oder Stunden meinen Kampf gegen Krebs verlieren. Dies ist kein fairer Kampf, denn der Gegner ist eine hochaggressive, seltene Krebsart, welche bei mir innerhalb von nur einem Monat nach der Diagnose trotz begonnener Chemotherapie zu meinem Tode führen wird.

<div>Einige Jahre meines Lebens widmete ich mich beruflich in einer Non Profit Organisation dem Kampf gegen den Krebs ohne zu ahnen, dass dieser irgendwann mein eigenes Schicksal viel zu früh besiegeln würde.

<div>Als begeisterter Hobbypilot lebe ich seit meinem 14. Lebensjahr meine Passion zur Fliegerei in einem Verein aus. Viele Wochenenden und Urlaube habe ich gemeinsam mit meiner Familie und Vereinsfreunden auf dem Flugplatz oder in Fluglagern verbracht. Die Leidenschaft vom Fliegen habe ich vor allem an meinen Sohn David weitergegeben, der deshalb seit seiner Kindheit davon träumt, Berufspilot zu werden.

<div>Diese Ausbildung zum Piloten, welche im Oktober diesen Jahres beginnen soll, ist sehr teuer (100.000 EUR), und ohne eure Hilfe wird es für ihn finanziell sehr schwierig sein, diesen Traum zu verwirklichen.

<div>David besitzt das Talent, die Hingabe und die Liebe zur Fliegerei, die ihn zu einem großartigen Piloten machen werden. Es zerreißt mir das Herz, dass ich nicht mehr da sein werde, um diesen stolzen Moment mitzuerleben, wenn mein Sohn den ersten Flug als Kapitän antritt. Die Gewissheit, dass David seinen Weg ohne diese finanzielle Hürde gehen kann, würde mir Frieden und Freude schenken.

<div>I am Mike, 51, father of 2 children, and I have terminal cancer. I write to you with a heavy heart, for I will lose my battle with cancer in just a few days or hours. This is not a fair fight, as the opponent is a highly aggressive, rare type of cancer that will lead to my death within just one month of diagnosis despite starting chemotherapy.

<div>Several years of my life were dedicated to fighting cancer professionally in a non-profit organization, never imagining that this disease would seal my own fate far too soon.

<div>As an enthusiastic amateur pilot, I have been living out my passion for flying in a club since I was 14 years old. Many weekends and holidays were spent with my family and club friends at the airfield or in flight camps. I have especially passed on the passion for flying to my son David, who has dreamed of becoming a professional pilot since his childhood.

<div>This pilot training, which is scheduled to begin in October this year, is very expensive (€100,000), and without your help, it will be financially very difficult for him to achieve this dream.

<div>David has the talent, dedication, and love for flying that will make him a great pilot. It breaks my heart that I will no longer be there to witness that proud moment when my son takes his first flight as a captain. Knowing that David can pursue his path without this financial hurdle would bring me peace and joy.
