Don Zordel Oxygen Expenses

Donation protected
Don was recently diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a lung disease that causes scar tissue to grow inside the lungs. This disease spreads in the sacs of the lungs making breathing harder, making oxygen levels harder to maintain.
Don has always been a very independent person, from time he went to work on Kansas farms at the age of 12 to today. The truth is he has been the one providing for others since then; his family, his friends, his community where he served as fire chief for the Burning Mountain Fire District (Now known as Colorado River Fire & Rescue) in New Castle/Silt Colorado for 15 years.
Now Don needs the community’s help to maintain his level of independence. With this diagnosis he needs to be on oxygen 24 hours a day and to do this and continue living independently he needs a portable concentrator, and to be frank this is a huge out of pocket expense. While the VA may pay for it, or Medicaid, both of those are doubtful outcomes and also not immediate as Don needs; it could take months to resolve costs, months that Don does have.
To help Don we need to raise $3,000 dollars to buy the concentrator outright, we are asking friends, family, the community and with this the world to help Don with this expense.
