Donny Forson's Cancer Victory
Donation protected
Below this introductory paragraph is a post that was written by Donny Forson's daughter, Ragan. I am simply trying to help and get the word out through this means. I decided to start a "Gofundme" account for the Forson's because, having had cancer four years ago, and also, had a child with cancer, the practical reality is that cancer is expensive. Maybe we cannot take the pain away, but, we can help offset some of the massive costs involved in this journey for this sweet and consistently caring family. Thank you, in advance, for anything you can do to help. Love, Carol Meade (Friend, Cancer-survivor, and Sojourner)

Some of you have been along this crazy journey with us the past few weeks, and others of you may have not yet heard at all, but as of yesterday (Valentines' Day) my dad, Donny N. Forson has officially been diagnosed with Stage Four Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma.
To catch you up rather quickly, a few weeks back my dad went into the urgent care because he hadn’t been feeling too well. He was told he had a UTI, but they also wanted to take a scan of his abdomen to check for anything out of the ordinary. That night we got the call that they had found 2 cell-phone sized masses on his liver. Since that day there have been tests after tests, appointments, and phone calls and so much waiting. Until yesterday morning. His oncologist confirmed that it is indeed Stage Four Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. This type of lymphoma is favorable and has a high cure rate, but is also very aggressive. He will be doing six rounds of intense chemo treatment starting Friday, February 21st.
We were asked to provide a place where people can receive updates and get information easily, so we have started a Facebook page: www.facebook.com/prayingwiththeforsons in hopes that it would be a simple way to update you all, as well as a place of hope, encouragement, and gratitude as we have been overwhelmed with the prayers and support we have seen already.
We, as a family, are committed to trusting our Ultimate Healer as He walks our dad, husband, and Papa D, as well as our entire family, through this journey. We are confident that He is with us and has gone before us and we are incredibly thankful to all of you that want to walk alongside us as well.
