Donna V.'s final expenses

I'm trying to raise money to help with my mother's final expenses. Many don't know me or my family, but some may. We work hard to keep the bills paid, full tummies, and roofs over our heads. We learned to work so hard watching our mother doing it for us growing up. We are a family, like many others, with tight budgets and bills that unfortunately don't go on hold when things like this happen, as I'm sure many of you know. Our mother had been battling copd for a long time and though she was putting up a hell of a fight; her body wasn't strong enough to keep her in it any longer. After this last incident, though many actions were taken to keep her with us by amazing people (her husband included), she unfortunately suffered extensive brain damage. We as her children and her husband had to make one of the hardest decisions we'll ever have to make. At that time, like many people we weren't thinking about the cost of a funeral or how her husband was going to survive without his wife's monthly check that doesn't cover alot, but was literally half their income. And like many we are proud people who don't like asking for hand outs, but with the sudden death of our mother; I'm afraid none of us have a nice nest egg set aside at the moment or are able to just pull it out of pocket to handle the expenses to put our mother to rest properly: or our own hearts for that matter. Though I'd like to believe we will figure it out some how, it just might take longer than we'd like.
I'm sorry for the long posting, but it's hard to paraphrase something so serious in one's mind and heavy on one's heart. I just want to help others understand our positions in the current situation, and hopefully come across as genuine as this truly is to me and my family.
