Donna Vogt Fundraiser

Our dearest Donna passed away so suddenly on Sunday.
There is no way in Heaven or Earth to begin to explain the heart and soul of Donna Vogt. To say that she was an amazing woman is an incredible understatement. To put who she was into a few paragraphs is an impossible endeavor. Donna had a heart of gold and a resolve of steel. Her impact in this world cannot be measured in words. She touched the souls of countless people and animals, and there is just no way to pack a lifetime of dedication and devotion to those she loved in mere platitudes. She was an enormous force to be reckoned, not a person whose existence can be told in chapter and verse. She created countless memories special to each and every one of us.

Donna was born on August 18th 1967. She celebrated her 50th birthday just this year. This year she and her wonderful husband, Bill, took a trip to Canada to unite with distant family members. This special gift, while meant as a birthday remembrance, was also a joyous revelry for those she travelled to see. You see, Donna was never interested in any festivity or occasion for her own enjoyment. Donna's reason for doing just about anything was to spread love and laughter to those she loved; and that, she did in spectacular Donna fashion.

Such was the same for her wedding celebration just this past February. Donna and Bill never had an opportunity for a formal wedding ceremony, so for their 20th Anniversary, they created a beautiful observance of their renewed vows in the church. Donna wore a spectacular blue dress, and let her long, dark, wavy tresses fall down around her. Bill and the wedding party were brought to happy tears at the sight of her. Her aim in this was not only for Bill and herself to finally have the formal opportunity to affirm their never ending love for each other, but to share that love with those closest to her.

At the reception, Donna gave a humorous, heartfelt speech about her beloved Bill, and her gratefulness to all who shared in their love. She humbly thanked all of us who attended the commemoration of their unwavering dedication to each other. She eloquently expressed her sincere gratitude to all of us who knew and loved them. While we were all laughing through the tears at her words, the most touching thing was to see how her pure love for the most special person in her life brought him to blushing and tears. A truer love and companion could never be. They were meant for each other, and Donna had a way of expressing her devotion in a way none of us will ever forget!

That was who she was- a woman with an enourmous amount of love and compassion for those around her, always giving so much more of herself than she ever took. Donna and Bill as a couple existed for the happiness of others, be they two, three, or four legged. Their kindness and thoughtfulness for others came well before themselves. They saved many souls and brought unimaginable meaning to so many lives. Donna was the most dedicated and loyal employee of Downingtown Animal Hospital and not only did Donna do her own rescue work for animals in need, but she volunteered and donated to support Military Vets through David's Drive for years, and supported Cat Angel Network and several other animal organizations. Donna's life revolved around helping others and creating comfort and happiness for all whom she loved. She was a woman who knew what she wanted, loved with her entire being, and shared of herself in the greatest measure with all of us. There is not a more generous, kind, genuine person in the world who holds a candle to Donna. And there never will be. To say she was one in a billion doesn't come close to adequately explain the heart and soul of Donna Vogt. She gave us her all. We owe it to her to give back some of the treasure that she selflessly gave to us for 50 years with love.

Bill has an emotionally hard time ahead for himself while trying to keep a little normalcy for himself and their fur-babies. Please consider donating to help Bill with the medical and funeral expenses, caring for the fur-babies, and his continued support of animal rescue organizations like Cat Angel Network as well as Military Veterans support like David's Drive.

Donna, we love you immensely and you will never, ever be forgotten. In reuniting with Dennis, your brother whom you so deeply loved and missed, and your loving mother and father, we know you have found the peace and everlasting love that you deserve. We'll be keeping you in our hearts and minds forever until one day we see you again....
