While visiting family in PA for the Christmas holiday, I went to NJ to have dinner with a friend I han't seen in over 40 years.  On my way back to PA  I was stoped in Frenchtown NJ for tinted windows and a sea shell hanging from my rear view mirror. The officer noticed a CWP in my wallet while I was retreiving my drivers license and asked if I had a gun with me, I said I did.  I was arrested and charged with two felonys. I was released later that night with a court date set for the next day.  The reason for this account is, like most normal people,  I do not have large amounts of cash available for legal defence.  I MUST hire an attorny as quickly as possible to avoid the mandatory jail sentance of five to ten years and becoming a felon.  I need these funds IMMEDIATELY, so I'll be  represented for my first court date of January 22, 2018.  $6000 is needed just to hire my defence.  I'm sure my financial need for this issue will increase as the process continues.  As of this point, no dollar amounts for fines and court cost have been revieled to me, but they will be.  

I am a law abiding, legal CWP and weapon carring, NRA member and veteran, simply visiting the state of NJ for time with friends over the holiday.  I have written to the governor of NJ to beg for a pardon, but that will take time and not keep me out jail in NJ while waiting for it, if I get it at all.  I must defend my self now or after Feb 5, 2018, I will be incararated.  The minimum is 5 years.

I would be forever indebted to all who are able to donate.  The only thing I am guilty of is ignorance of NJ gun law, which is no defence, but it is the truth.  Please help.  Not just for my sake, but to draw attention to H.R. 38 and prevent future victims of the antiquated NJ gun laws.
