On Sat., Sept. 8, 2018 Donielle's life changed forever! During an altercation with her husband her neck was broken and she is now paralyzed and considered a quadriplegic with limited use of her hands. She has had surgery to fuse the vertebrae in her neck and is in a rehabilitation facility working to get back the use of her arms and hands, but it will take time and LOTS of money to cover all the bills.
Her time is running out at the current facility and they are working to find her another facility so she can continue to receive the PT she needs. She will need full time care until she is able to gain more strength and movement in her upper body. She is fighting and making strides but needs help to cover costs including an electric wheelchair which costs around $15,000 and she has yet to find out if insurance will cover any of it!
Donielle also has twin 13 year old kiddos, one girl and one boy. She is lucky to have friends who are currently taking care of them for her, but she desperately wants to be able to stay near them and get them back 'home' with her. Wherever home ends up being, which again will be another hurdle down the road since she will need to be in a fully wheelchair accessible home. Whether it be renting or purchasing, the cost will be more than she can take on as a single mom.
Your help is appreciated and no amount is too small!! Let's help her and her kiddos get through this tragic event!! She has spunk and determination, there is no doubt about that - she just needs the funds to make it happen!!
