Donegal 2 Dundonald - Poppy, Jake and Zion

Donation protected

I have set myself a challenge to make the 109 Mile journey from Donegal to Dundonald on foot in 4 days. My mission is to raise as much money as I can to help support the families of these 3 brave kids as they each battle their own form of Cancer.

Poppy, Jake and Zion - Three kids from Northern Ireland who all have something in common; they are all brave warriors battling different forms of Cancer.

Poppy is a 9 year old girl from East Belfast who you will never see without a smile on her beautiful face. In Janurary 2021, Poppy's parents were given the heartwrenching news that is their daughter has Cancer. At only 9 years old, Poppy has been diagnosed with having a Malignant Tumour in her head. Chemotherapy was immediately started. This came to a halt, however, when she had to have surgery on her skull to remove the Tumour, and a metal plate inserted. As a result of the Chemotherapy being put on hold to operate, there was a significant spread to her wee chest and lungs. Thankfully, when Chemo started up again, there has been shrinkage. Poppy spends a lot of time in hospital, and understandably, the family's lives have been turned upside down as a result. Any money raised with help contribute towards any financial difficulties the family may face during these difficult times. It will also be used to buy treats for the Cancer ward where Poppy spends a lot of her time while recieving treatment.

Little Zions parents were delivered the devastating news in December 2020 that their baby boy had Cancer; Neuroblastoma to be precise. Zions mummy and daddy will understandably do anything they can to support little Zions treatment and as a result, they will be accessing trials which are taking place in other parts of the World. This treatment however, comes at a cost. Any money raised through this GoFundMe will be greatly recieved by Zions parents and the funds will go towards their wish to access these trials.

In September 2020, when Jake Oliver, a beautiful 4 year old boy, should have been starting Primary School, his family recieved the devastating news that he had Cancer; Stage 4 T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma the be specific. Jake has since endured numerous types of chemotherapy although, a number of times along the way, Chemotherapy had to be put on hold because he became too ill to continue. This resulted in his medical plan having to be constantly adjusted and changed as his young body contended with both disease and treatment. Money raised will help ease any financial burden the family will not doubt face in these challenging times.

Thank you all in advance

Thomas
