Dondra & Mikie Carty in Anugilla
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Many of you reached out to me last week in concern for the wellbeing of my mom, Dondra Henderson-Carty, and stepdad, Mikie Carty. Their island home of Anguilla was directly hit by Hurricane Irma last Wednesday. We were finally able to reach them on Friday and were relieved to find out that they were safe! However, their island has been devastated and they are in need of our assistance. Anguilla is expected to be without power for 4-6 months and they are also without running water. Additionally, supplies are limited, the price of gasoline has soared, and my mom and Mikie will need to come back to the US soon in order to address medical needs that have arisen since the hurricane. Please help me raise funds to purchase a generator, purchase gasoline (which is now $6.45/gallon!), purchase supplies for repairs to their home as well as water, flashlights, batteries, candles, mosquito nets and first aid supplies. Finally, we hope to raise money to help with travel expenses when they are eventually able to leave the island once the ferry terminal in Anguilla and the airport in St. Maarten are repaired. We appreciate your kindness and support as we work to help my parents who are so far away from home! And as always, your prayers are greatly appreciated!
