March 5, 2018, a loved one was lost in a motorcycle accident.
Derrick Kerley was the most selfless, caring, and loving man many people have known, and he always did what he could to help others or make them feel better. He was a brother, a son, a boyfriend, and a friend to so many people. He was the kind of guy who would stop and help animals on the side of the road, or stop and help people stuck in snow. He always put others before himself. Then, he took his bike out March 3 and was hit by someone who was not paying attention when they were turning. The trauma to his head was too much, even with a helmet on, and he passed away March 5. He had just celebrated his 23rd birthday March 1. All because someone was not paying attention to the road, so many loved family and friends have to deal with this sorrow.
This was something no one ever plans for, and so all the funds from this go fund me will go to Derrick's family to help with any financial burdens they are going to have to deal with. Any donation helps.
We will miss you Derrick. You may be gone, but your memories will be here forever.
