Four weeks ago we received devastating news that my father was diagnosed with a rare, very aggressive form of cancer. At this time they believe it is a squamous carcinoma but are not sure where it originated. We do know that the cancer has spread to his liver, pancreas, duodenum, and the surrounding lymph nodes. He started chemo therapy to hopefully shrink the tumors and alleviate some of his pain. Cancer is not something anyone can plan for and unfortunately my father recently changed jobs which left him short of qualifying for paid family medical leave. They have been without income since July 18th. Even with health insurance the copays, deductibles and the overall cost of treatment has already caused a financial hardship for my parents and younger sisters. My father is not one to ask for help. He is 51 year's old and spent his life working to take care of his family. My hope is to help take some of the stress off my father so he can concentrate on healing. If you can help in anyway we will be forever grateful. Your continued prayers are appreciated as we move forward.
