Donations for the Ekleberry Family

When you think of Brandon Ekleberry, the first words that come to mind are selflessness, and generosity.  For those of you who had the privilege of meeting or getting to know his father Lee, then you know where that genuine, and giving nature derived from.   A few years ago,  I had hit an all-time personal low point in my life, and was about to be homeless.  I never wanted to impose and tried to be proud but Brandon and his father Lee would not let me.  They offered me to come and stay with them, only asking for contributions if I was able to.  Shortly after moving in, I soon lost my job, and was now without any source of income, and without anything to offer.  Never once was I made to feel like I was not welcome, rather, Lee would often take me with him to the store to pick out some food items that I liked, and no matter how much I fought him, he would say "Well look, you got to eat, don't ya?"  and make light of his kindness so I wouldn't feel shame.  This went on over the course of the next few months, until finally I was able to take steps to getting back on my feet, and to get my life back on track.  He treated me like I was part of his family, and I will forever take great pride in knowing the man that Lee Ekleberry really was.  Selfless.  Generous.  Kind.

In the last couple months, Lee was diagnosed with terminal cancer which had spread beyond the point of recovery, and on Thursday morning, Lee passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice Care in Janesville, Wisconsin.   It was two days after his 64th birthday.  He is survived by his sons Brandon and Ryan.

When Lee passed, he had no life insurance established or any money set aside for the family, and as of now, the cost falls entirely on their shoulders.
What we are asking of all of you now is to help the Ekleberry family in their time of need, as they wish to lay Lee to rest in the fashion that he so deserves.  Leading up to his final stay at Agrace, Brandon exhausted countless resources and had to undergo financial strain to bring his father home, as he so wished, and now, we are asking all of you who know Brandon, the Ekleberry family, or are moved by this amazing family, to contribute anything that they can to ensure that Lee can be honored and laid to rest how he truly deserves to be.  Your contributions will go entirely to helping the cost of a proper visitation and burial for a great man.  A man who would give you a dollar if it was the last one he had.  Please, help us take care of this generous, giving family in their time of need.  I love you all!
