With deepest sympathy and regard, I am starting this Go Fund Me site to assist the Avila Family with burial arrangements and medical expenses that resulted from a tragic vehicular accident that occurred on Sunday October 22, 2017 in Prince George's County Maryland.
Gustavo Avila, a longtime and dedicated employee with the City of Alexandria, Virginia was traveling home with his wife and three children after attending a family event. While attempting to make a left turn, the family’s car was broadsided by an oncoming vehicle.
The devastating accident instantly killed Gustavo’s 29-year old wife Yenis (Jenifer) Avila and critically injured the two youngest children. Gustavo and the oldest daughter also received serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Both Gustavo and 10-year old son required surgery and both daughters are recovering from broken bones.
Yenis, a native of Honduras leaves behind a devoted and loving husband, her 10-year old son and two loving step-daughters. This family’s life has been changed forever and is desperately in need of support, love and assistance. Prayers, donations and supportare greatly needed and appreciated.
