Hello, we are the Martinez family

During this holiday season, hard times struck family and friends in the unfortunate passing of the young soul, Brandon Perez. He has become another casualty of Chicago's gun violence that occurred on the 16th of December while coming out of his High School at approximately 2:45 PM.

Brandon was a typical teenager finding his meaning in life. Through many of his confused moments, as many of us have had at that tough age, he figured out what he wanted his life to become of. Brandon aspired to become a tradesman in general construction and electricity and hoped to one day become a business owner with multiple trade certificates. With this goal in mind, he dreamed of removing his mother and sister from their rough neighborhood and creating more stability in their lives. He began his journey this year by taking part in a seasonal summer job working part-time under a construction company to acquire any basic skills he could obtain at a very young age.

Brandon was a young man who his immediate and extended family immensely loved. Brandon had a unique relationship with his younger sister, who looked up to him as a brother and her best friend. They would always protect and care for each other. Brandon loved being around his family, playing video games with his cousins and friends, enjoying soccer, and losing himself in movies/ music. Brandon was a quiet young man that impacted the lives of his loved ones, even thru his timidness since he was a toddler. With that, one thing is for sure; he will be missed immensely by everyone who had the opportunity to be part of his life.

We are asking for any monetary assistance in these challenging circumstances to help alleviate some of the financial responsibility for Brandon's parents. We highly understand that these times are tough for everyone. Any help is greatly appreciated; no amount is too small at these moments.

No person of Brandon's age should ever be taken away from their mother, father, family, and friends. We ask that you keep Brandon's family in your prayers to bring comfort during this difficult time. While others are preparing for the holiday season, his family is preparing for his funeral.

Durante esta temporada navideña, familiares y amigos pasaron tiempos difíciles por el desafortunado fallecimiento del alma joven, Brandon Pérez. Se ha convertido en otra víctima de la violencia armada de Chicago que ocurrió el 16 de diciembre cuando salía de su escuela secundaria aproximadamente a las 2:45 p. m.\

Brandon era un adolescente típico quien buscaba el sentido de su vida. A través de muchos de sus momentos confusos, como muchos de nosotros hemos tenido en esa edad difícil, se dio cuenta de lo que quería que fuera su vida. Brandon aspiraba a convertirse en comerciante en construcción general y electricidad y esperaba convertirse algún día en propietario de un negocio con múltiples certificados comerciales. Con este objetivo en mente, soñaba con sacar a su madre y su hermana de su áspero vecindario y crear más estabilidad en sus vidas. Comenzó su trayectoria este año participando en un trabajo de verano de temporada trabajando a tiempo parcial en una compania de construcción para adquirir las habilidades básicas que podía obtener a una edad muy temprana.

Brandon era un joven a quien su familia inmediata y extendida amaba inmensamente. Brandon tenía una relación única con su hermana menor, quien lo admiraba no solo como un hermano, pero tambien como su mejor amigo. Siempre se protegían y cuidaban el uno al otro. A Brandon le encantaba estar con su familia, jugar videojuegos con sus primos y amigos, disfrutar del fútbol y perderse en películas y música. Brandon era un joven tranquilo que impactó la vida de sus seres queridos, incluso a través de su timidez desde que era un niño pequeño. Con eso en mente, una cosa es segura; todos los que tuvieron la oportunidad de ser parte de su vida lo extrañarán inmensamente.

Estamos solicitando asistencia monetaria en estas circunstancias difíciles para ayudar a aliviar parte de la responsabilidad financiera de los padres de Brandon. Entendemos muy bien que estos tiempos son difíciles para todos. Cualquier ayuda es muy apreciada; ninguna cantidad es demasiado pequeña en estos momentos.

Ninguna persona de la edad de Brandon debe ser separada de su madre, padre, familia y amigos. Le pedimos que mantenga a la familia de Brandon en sus oraciones para brindarle consuelo durante este momento difícil. Mientras otros se preparan para la temporada navideña, su familia se prepara para su funeral.
