Donation for Torres Family

Dear Family and Friends,
Three of my relatives in Adjuntas Puerto Rico unfortunately lost their homes and suffered serious damages to their personal property due to the severe winds and floods that Hurricane Maria brought to the island. It took me more than a week after the Hurricane hit the island to get information about my loved ones and eventhough I received some bad news about them loosing their belongins they are thankfully safe and in good health.
My family, as many other puertorrican families, are extremely resilient and caring of others. It makes me very happy when I hear they are taking care of each other and helping others that are in need (even when they have lost so much!). That in a nutshell is the definition of puerrtorican hospitality.
Eventhough we are doing everything we can to help each other as a community, this Hurricane brought a level of destruction to the island that no one was ever able to imagine. This will be a very long recovery process not only for my family but to all puerrtoricans in the island and their relatives around the world.
My goal is to be able to collect enough donations for my relatives to start rebuilding their homes. I will do everything in my power to help them but we need all the help we can get! Your donation big or small matters! It will make an impact in my family's life!

I am amazed by the number of people in Washington, DC (my current working station) that have asked me how they can help and I am sure this reciprocates all over the US and other countries. This is one way you can help my family have a home again as soon as possible.
