On 11/28 Thanksgiving Day, a rainy day. Alfredo “Ricky” Lopez was on his way home after running some morning errands. He made a short call to his wife Nayeli Lopez letting her know he was 15 minutes away from home. He never arrived.
Thanks to the tracker app on his phone they realized where he was, a short way from home. At a 4 way stop intersection on Seco Canyon Rd & Copper Hill drive. His mother Victoria drove out to see where he was and found herself at the devastating scene.
By god’s grace many good samaritans came to the rescue. A multi car cash had occurred and Ricky who drove the White Subaru SUV had taken the greatest hit. When helped arrived Ricky heart had stopped. By gods grace and the paramedics help he came back to life.
Currently, he is in an EXTREMELY delicate and terrible condition. He suffered severe internal bleeding which is now under control, although is still happening. He has Fracture ribs, has fractures on his face, his pelvis, back, head and raptured organs. His heart was pushed to the limit when the paramedics brought him back which is now one of the biggest concerns. At the moment he has a pelvic plate holding him together.
Ricky, has a BIG guardian angel watching over him. He has a young child who just turned 1 this past Sunday 11/24, he is a newly wed with a wife who left her home in Ensenada and just moved to the states, no job.
Ricky and his wife have a long road to recovery. Although he’s not out of the woods with gods grace anything is possible, he is here for a reason and the hopes and prayer is that he makes a full recovery. Unfortunately, being Ricky was the only bread winner with a young child he has limited resources.
The hospital bills, therapist and counselors he will need to help through this process will be extremely expensive something they were not planning on and have no resources for.
He is still pending more surgeries for his colon, neck and back this upcoming week if his heart allows which will be costly.
