<div><strong><em>Could YOU donate the cost of a bag of apples to our nonprofit program? Rescuing horses; healing humans! We treat severe psychological trauma in humans, by giving rescue horses at nonprofit barns a new life as healing partners, providing sustainability for all involved! Equusolutions, Inc has been a Fl 501 (c) (3) since 2016, as the word got out, and need for expansion exploded! Our program was originally cofounded in 2009 as a not-for-profit by a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma treatment (darlenewilliamsphd.com, boldjourney.com/meet-darlene-williams-2/ ) , along with equine specialists trained &amp; certified in the EAGALA model. We have now grown into a 501 (c) (3) co-op!</em></strong>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Equine Assisted modalities, presented by Equusolutions, Inc., utilize rescue horses experientially for emotional growth and learning. It is a collaborative effort between licensed therapists and equine professionals working with clients and horses to address treatment goals. All interventions are done on the ground, so no prior experience with horses is necessary. We can adapt interventions to various physical/age conditions/needs.

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Equusolutions was originally co-founded in 2009 to address complex trauma issues such as PTSD and other chronic emotional/psychological traumas. A considerable majority of the trauma survivors were military women; as a result, <strong>Horse Corps (horsecorps.com) </strong>was developed to accommodate these clients, and has been subsidized since by Dr. Williams' practice (Dr. Williams being a volunteer clinician for givenhour.org).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These therapy sessions help not only female veterans but all military, past and present and also individuals, couples and groups looking to cope with and recover from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or any other type of mental trauma, including, but not limited to: natural disasters, human trafficking, etc-
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Along the way, Dr. Williams met with (now retired) Florida <strong>Representative David Jolly along with (now retired) U.S. Army Major Tice Ridley</strong> to discuss the value of alternative therapies such as equine-assisted psychotherapy; that conversation ignited motivation for a bill <strong>introduced in congress, now passed &amp; known as the Cover Act at the time (now referred to as The Mission Act). </strong>The Cover Act supported alternative therapies for veterans, so they can choose the type of treatments they receive for their various mental health needs.

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to these programs that have become so successful, they have become popular as an option for mental health therapy. However, these programs are non-profit, volunteer-based, and rely heavily on donations to fund the costs associated with the nonprofit barns &amp; equines utilized. <strong>All proceeds collected are utilized to subsidize treatment for those otherwise unable to pay, as Equusolutions, Inc has long-standing, ongoing, private donors who donate office space, &amp; overhead/admin costs for our program. Even the smallest donation, as in the price of a bag of apples for our equine co-therapists, helps tremendously to offset costs, as every penny adds up! As per Benjamin Franklin: "Take care of the pennies, &amp; the dollars take care of themselves"! </strong> Donate here, via check dropped/mailed to our admin office in Palm Harbor, Fl (see equusolutions.com) or call/text Linda direct for cr card donations/Venmo, anytime! (we can provide a receipt for your taxxes-)
