Donate2Dance

We believe that every child deserves the chance to dance. With that in mind, we created Donate2Dance with the mission of collecting gently worn dance shoes, costumes and dancewear to donate to dance schools in need across the country.  So far, we have partnered with 36 programs that serve low income, inner city dancers and those with special needs. We started with a pile of our own shoes and have watched dancers from programs all over the country get into the spirit. We currently have 9 drop off locations across the tri-state area and are receiving direct shipments from dancers and corporate sponsors across the country.  Since starting Donate2Dance in March of 2018, we've shipped over 1,000 pairs of shoes and 600 costumes to dancers in need!

Your donation will help fund our operating costs, which include shipping to dance programs across the country, purchasing boxes and shipping supplies, maintaining our website, creating out reach materials and building new collection bins.  Additionally, we will be using donations to purchase much needed supplies for school performances.  We've been using our bake sale proceeds, bat mitzvah gifts and allowances to pay for the costs to date - but they've substantially increased as we've grown so rapidly.  We've been happily surprised and overwhelmed by the number of donations that we've received as well as the number of schools out there in need.
