Donate Today To Help C.J.

Hi my name is Marigold, I live at a private sanctuary for all creatures but especially cats. Our farm currently has 21 beautiful rescued cats.

We recently experienced a very sad day, when my beautiful and brave 3 year old cat C.J. had a very traumatic injury. After coming in from outside, I noticed he was not himself. When he tried to get down from the cat tree he fell over. On inspection I noticed his breathing was irregular and black sout on his paws. I gently squeezed his back paw and noticed all his claws were broken down to the nub. He also was bleeding from his left paw. He had a huge cut on his forehead and face.

I immediately called the nearest Emergency Vet at this time it was 7:00pm. After being turned down by two ER vets I finally was able to get him in to a vet in Studio City called True Care for Pets. We rushed over there safely, and he was taken into the exam room right away. I explained to the receptionist that he couldn't walk and wasn't breathing properly. About an hour later we were told that he suffered a major trauma and it looked as though he fell from a high area.

My baby C.J. had a fractured and dislocated femur and a few broken bones in the same area. All his claws were shattered and missing as well as two long scraps up and down his back legs. We were so shocked and devastated to hear the news.I cried and prayed for his healing. He stayed over night with IVs in him for dehydration and to steady his breathing. They told me he would need surgery the next day. They brought him back in the room so we could say good night and I watched as they carried him away.

After 7 hours at the vet we were both mentally and physically exhausted. CJs first stay at the vet would cost 4,000 dollars. I was taken back wondering how we were going to make this happen. The next morning arrived and I received a message from the surgeon. His surgery would cost $7,238.00 on top of last nights $4,000. Money was a concern but nothing would stop me from making this happen.

My loving and compassionate Mom let us use two different credit cards to help heal our baby C.J. Thank you Mom, your support and your love goes beyond words. C.J will need 6 to 8 weeks to fully heal and start rehab.

If I can reach out to anyone out there to please help us with this bill, I cant tell you how grateful my whole family will be. We are a wildlife sanctuary and a wellness farm. We live and support all creatures but the cats here are our lives. They make everyday a opportunity to be a brighter person.

Thank you for any help to pay back my beautiful 68 year old mom who has supported her family of 6 with out hesitation or doubt and many others when she was a Nurse.

Thank you to everyone who has donated.CJ is on the mend and doing so much better. We still need your help to pay off the vet costs including his surgery, Thank you again ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
