Window Shopping, 2025 short film
There are two kinds of decision-makers in life: maximizers and satisfiers. Maximizers are those who relentlessly chase the next best thing and satisfiers commit to nurturing what they already have. The research on these two types of decision makers is clear: maximizers may collect more accolades, but satisfiers end up happier.
Window Shopping is a film that explores this tension. The quiet space between what we have, what we want, and what we fear losing. It asks when faced with a life-altering choice, do we chase something new, stay and deepen our roots, or are we paralyzed by indecision? Nowhere is this paradox more emotionally charged than in our relationships, where clarity often only arrives after it's too late. As Kierkegaard wrote, “Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.”
As filmmakers we want to translate the deeply personal, and often isolating feelings into shared human experiences. Though the emotions behind this film may feel intimate or even lonely, they are universal. Our hope is that this story creates space for reflection, recognition, and most of all connection.
With your support we will be able to pay for every creative aspect of this film. We are excited to show you what this film means to us.
