<div>After dealing with persistent abdominal pain for a few months, Todd had a colonoscopy that revealed an obstruction in the descending colon. A week and a half later, <strong>Todd was diagnosed with colon cancer on June 20, 2025</strong>. He underwent surgery on July 7 to remove part of his colon and the surrounding lymph nodes. We discovered a couple of weeks later that the cancer has metastasized and is stage 4.

<div>Todd will start an intensive chemotherapy regimen soon. <strong>In addition, we learned this month that Todd's company is shutting down, and he will lose his company's health insurance and long-term disability benefits at the end of this year.</strong>
