<div>In August 2026, we are bringing the Frankfurt Palestine Cinema Days back to Frankfurt. From August 7–23, 2026, we are organizing a 10-day series of open-air and indoor events.

<div>It isn’t only a cultural event, but also, a necessary political intervention. Because Palestinian voices in Germany are not just underrepresented. They are often actively excluded. Academic, political and cultural events are cancelled. Narratives are delegitimized.

<div>Last year, dozens gathered with us in public spaces for the first edition of Frankfurt Palestine Cinema Days. Over 40 activists built screens, carried equipment, and moderated discussions. This year, we want to go further. We are expanding the program with more discursive elements, creating space for in-depth conversations and collective reflection across more days and formats.

<div>This year’s edition is organized in cooperation with our comrades from Jewish Voice for a Just Peace in the Middle East (Jüdische Stimme).

<div>The festival brings together open-air and indoor screenings, conversations with filmmakers and experts, and community-based formats to create a space for critical engagement with Palestine while responding to the repression faced by Palestinians and solidarity movements in Germany.

<div>We want it to be a space where people can come together, learn, reflect, and engage critically.

<div>Im August 2026 bringen wir die Frankfurt Palestine Cinema Days zurück nach Frankfurt. Vom 7. bis 23. August 2026 organisieren wir eine zehntägige Reihe von Open-Air- und Indoor-Veranstaltungen.

<div>Es handelt sich nicht nur um eine kulturelle Veranstaltung, sondern auch um eine notwendige politische Intervention. Denn palästinensische Stimmen sind in Deutschland nicht nur unterrepräsentiert. Sie werden oft aktiv ausgeschlossen. Akademische, politische und kulturelle Veranstaltungen werden abgesagt. <div>Letztes Jahr versammelten sich Dutzende mit uns an öffentlichen Orten zur ersten Ausgabe der Frankfurt Palestine Cinema Days. Über 40 Aktivist:innen bauten Leinwände auf, trugen Ausrüstung und moderierten Diskussionen. Dieses Jahr wollen wir noch einen Schritt weiter gehen. Wir erweitern das Programm um mehr diskursive Elemente und schaffen Raum für tiefgehende Gespräche und kollektive Reflexion über mehr Tage und Formate hinweg.

<div>Die diesjährige Ausgabe wird in Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Genoss:innen von der Jüdischen Stimme für gerechten Frieden in Nahost organisiert.

<div>Das Festival vereint Open-Air- und Indoor-Filmvorführungen, Gespräche mit Filmemacher*innen und Expert*innen sowie gemeinschaftsorientierte Formate, um einen Raum für kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Palästina zu schaffen und gleichzeitig auf die Unterdrückung zu reagieren, der Palästinenser*innen und Solidaritätsbewegungen in Deutschland ausgesetzt sind.
