Hi. Chef Kai Oginga here. I am in desperate need of financial assistance to keep NYC Vegan open.

I have thoroughly enjoyed serving you all over the last 10 months; however, to continue doing so requires two things. First, I need to pay off arrears of rent, utilities, and other administrative costs for my space. In addition, I need to hire two part-time employees to assist me with prep and packing the food during service hours before it gets handed off to the drivers.

I currently work alone and without assistance, and without clearing the arrears, I will not be able to continue running the business as is. Beyond that, hiring a staff would allow me to expand the menu as well as expedite orders so that they all leave the kitchen on time.

I love what I do, and I always get excited when I see familiar names on tickets coming into the kitchen. I would really love to keep serving you all and to expand the menu as well. But without your immediate financial assistance, I will be forced to go on hiatus indefinitely.

I have approximately 1,600 plus followers on Instagram. If each one of you donated just $10 or more, I could easily reach my funding objective and keep the food flowing. Please spread the word and donate as much as you're able to afford to this campaign. I know it's a challenging time for all of us, so I understand if giving may be a hardship.
