<div>Janet Louise Olson Bergera was born on May 10, 1959, in Preston, Idaho. She was a strong, spirited, and vibrant woman who lived and loved with her whole heart. On October 11, 2025, Janet passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family. After graduating from Preston High School in 1977, Janet pursued her passion for nursing and education. She earned her LPN from Utah Tech in Provo, followed by a Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University, and later completed a Master’s degree from Western Governors University.

<div>Janet was a Registered Nurse by profession, having served in the Healthcare industry for 40 years. She worked at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, leaving a lasting impact on her colleagues and patients. Janet’s true calling was teaching and this led her to start her own school, Arrowhead CNA, where she instructed CNAs, a testament to her dedication and service.

<div>Janet was a gifted author, imaginative crafter and talented poet, best known for her beloved Christmas poems written each year. She had a lifelong fascination with owls and proudly collected owl memorabilia from around the world. A devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan, Janet never missed a game and especially loved traveling to Cardinals games with her sisters and children.

<div>Janet loved spending time with her grandkids. The creation of themed Grandma Camps, which she and her sisters organized for their grandchildren, became a source of joy, laughter, and lasting memories, a legacy of love that will be cherished by each of her grandchildren for years to come.
</div>
<div>Janet was deeply devoted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, blessing the lives of others through her many talents. She had a gift for teaching and was known for her engaging, heartfelt and thoughtfully prepared lessons that inspired and uplifted. Her classes were always memorable, and everyone looked forward to learning from her. Janet also cherished the meaningful friendships she formed in every ward she attended, and her love for the gospel was evident in the way she served and cared for those around her.

<div>Janet is survived by her children: Chelsie (Wes) Bergera, Chance (Hannah) Turner, Ryan Bergera and Austin (Hanitra) Bergera. She is survived by her six grandchildren: Abby, Liam, and Maxwell DeGriselles; and Mia, Kalo, and Niera Bergera.  She is also survived by her five sisters: Mary Carter, Karen Tribett, Nancy Puente, Margaret Wright, and Emily Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Edith Olson.

<div>The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated caregivers who provided compassionate support to Janet over the past two years.

<div>A visitation for Janet will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home located at 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah 84651. Per Janet’s request, a graveside service will follow on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:00 am at Payson City Cemetery, located at 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah 84651.
