My name is Sarah. On March 23, 2025, I will be running the Reading Half Marathon to raise funds for Eco Friends. This cause is close to my heart, and I know that every pound we raise will help further initiatives.

As a volunteer with Eco Friends, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible work this group of community volunteers do to promote sustainability and reduce single use plastic in our local area.

Eco Friends actively engages with local businesses, the council, and community members to create meaningful change. This year they have reduced single use plastics by over 162000 items across Thatcham and Newbury. Through educational initiatives, advocacy, and hands-on projects, Eco Friends empowers individuals and organizations to adopt more sustainable practices that benefit our planet.
