For the past six years, she has battled cirrhosis of the liver, and despite all the pain, setbacks, and hospital stays, she has never lost her kindness, strength, or love for others.

<div>Born and raised in Frisco, TX, my mom gave birth to me when she was only 17 years old. She sacrificed everything for me and my sister and has always been our biggest supporter growing up. Seeing her now—so fragile and fighting to hold on—is absolutely heartbreaking. She’s spent the past three weeks in the ICU in Dallas and was recently transferred by ambulance to Houston. Her only hope for survival is a liver transplant at Methodist Hospital in Houston, where a specialized medical team is prepared to handle the complexity of her condition.

<div>At just 57 years old, my mom deserves more time—more laughter, more memories, and more moments with the family who loves her so much. My wife and I are expecting a baby girl in November, who will join the four grandchildren my mom already adores. She dreams of holding her newest granddaughter, but the mounting medical costs have become overwhelming. Just a week ago, we were discussing Hospice Care, until a miracle happened and she was transferred to Houston Methodist Hospital for a chance at a transplant.
