<div>In December 2024, I was made redundant from my role at work. Since then, while actively interviewing and trying to secure a new job, I didn’t realise how deeply this situation would affect my mental health.

<div>I live with my wife, our 19-month-old son and our Dog Rolo with another baby due this summer. As the sole earner in our household, losing that source of income was a huge shock. Over the past few months, I’ve battled stress, anxiety, and moments of depression — all of which have reminded me just how fragile mental health can be, especially in tough times.

<div>I’ve always tried to stay positive and see the glass as half full. One of the ways I’ve coped is by channelling my energy into something creative: my YouTube channel, ‘Singh on a Brompton’. What started as a small outlet has grown into a community of over 1,100 subscribers, and I’ve found real joy in sharing my adventures on my Brompton bike with the world.

<div>From 16th–19th May 2025, I’m taking on a personal challenge: cycling from London to Paris on my Brompton, solo. I’ll be documenting the journey for my channel — and more importantly, I’m using this ride to raise funds for Mind, a mental health charity that helps ensure no one faces these struggles alone.
