Hello, I am Roberto Martinez and I'm a graduate student at ASU. I am asking for financial support to pay for my dog Max's emergency vet costs. Max was bitten this past weekend by a dog and was left with serious injuries, including one puncture wound that left his tendon visible.

Max was hanging out at the dog park when the only other dog there suddenly bit his right paw and didn't let go for close to 10 minutes. During this time, a person not involved had opened the gates and once separated, Max ran away with the other dog in pursuit. Max managed to run all the way home on his hurt paw and was taken to the emergency vet for treatment. There, they cleaned and closed his wounds and took x-rays to ensure there were no fractured bones. I was also given antibiotics and pain medication.

The final bill came out to nearly $1700. As a full-time student, this has been a large financial hit for me and I would appreciate any help the community can provide. Max is slowly recovering but with his high energy and drive, he is quite eager to get back to running and jumping on things.
