<div>The BCIF is aiming to raise two million dollars to finance the small-scale clinical trial of a new breast implant cover infused with the Doxorubicin chemotherapy drug that would provide targeted, local chemotherapy to breast tissue post-reconstructive surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This would reduce side effects and limit the need for global chemotherapy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Additional benefits would include a reduced risk of capsular contracture, allowing for fewer surgeries after reconstruction.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Dox-eluting envelope would slowly and systematically continue releasing the drug, killing any cancer cells on site.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Help us take the next step in making this remarkable scientific innovation for cancer treatment a reality. All funds raised will go towards the clinical trial of this technology.
