Hello Tribe - It's me again.
Sigh.

First and foremost, I want to THANK each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.
The past few months have been a bumpy ride and I would not have made it this far without blessings, love, support and encouragement from y'all.
Having said that, some decisions, no matter how difficult they may be are at times made for you. And the time has come to say goodbye to the cozy apartment life and move toward a new chapter.
I am tired.
I have stood strong.
I have been as resilient as I know how and now I must concede.
I have 10 days to vacate my apartment, with official move day of 1/16/25. This has created a ripple that touches many that I love the most. I don't know what to do. I am literally at wits end.
If you can, please share. Even if that's all you can do. Even that is a HUGE blessing.
So, I shall get back to packing.
This will be the LAST time that I move.

All my (our) love,
Shonda and Ava

Hello Tribe,

I would first like to say THANK YOU for taking the time to visit this page. All who know me, knows that I don't normally do something like this. Actually, this is the first time I've reached out via this platform. It is very humbling.
On October 14th, I lost my only source of income due to circumstances outside of my control. I immediately began the process of all the things that arrive along side job loss via layoff. Also a first for me. I was able to make sure all of November bills were taken care of, with a small bit to spare. Hoping that by the time December rolled around, if I hadn't found a job then at least I would have a bit of unemployment.
Life is full of surprises. I have applied to well over 60 jobs in the past 30 days with no interview requests. Unemployment is still pending decision with an estimated first pay soon. Spent all day yesterday revising my resume, attaching to different job platforms and emailing to staffing agencies. Maybe that will help some.
I had not planned on having to start over again at almost 50 years of age. But here I am and I am pushing forward. Trying to find a job is a full time job in itself. added to that the pressure and stress of a single now ZERO income household.
I also know that this is a very busy time of year. I know that money is tight across the board. I know that the economy is not the best. My immediate need is simply to be able to pay my December rent ($919), internet ($150), electric ($60) and cell ($250). I have my parent's line on my cell, thus the larger bill. I am also having issues with my cell, but for now - that will just have to wait.
If you have made it this far and happen to have a little to spare, I would graciously appreciate it. Oh and Ava too.
In my late night no sleep mind racing moments, I can pull out some art supplies and try to "repay" any kindness with an original piece of your choice. Pending it is within my realm of creation!
I am 100% open to any questions regarding my current life status, if needed. One more small request - I need REMOTE work. I don't have a car. I have to work from home. If you happen to see anything, please send it my way. For those who are also connected via LinkedIn, I would really appreciate your recommendation. My perfect Christmas gift would totally be a JOB!
Prayers, mojo, juju, good vibes - whatever you do - I'll take it.
Ava and I send all our love and warm thanks. She's not good at sharing treats, but if anyone is up to it - I may have a two year old bottle of wine I can share if you fancy a visit. <3

Love,
Shonda and Ava
