<div>UPDATE 07/30/2026: Help Our Mom Receive the Home Care She Desperately Needs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last year, our mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Since then, she has endured multiple brain surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and countless treatments, fighting every single day with incredible strength and determination.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Following her most recent surgery, she has been left with significant neurological deficits. She now struggles with aphasia, her ability to use fine motor skills, understanding much of what is said to her but only able to speak a few words at a time. Simple conversations that once came naturally are now incredibly difficult. She has also lost much of the strength and coordination on her right side, making everyday tasks like getting dressed, bathing, preparing meals, walking safely, and even getting in and out of bed a daily challenge.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Despite everything she has endured, she tells us the same thing over and over: being home with her kids is what gives her the will and encouragement to keep fighting. Home is where she feels safe, loved, and motivated to continue this battle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That is why we are asking for your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to bring her home with the support she needs to do so safely. She requires a home health aide to help with the basic activities of daily living while she continues speech, physical, and occupational therapy. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the level of in-home assistance she now requires, leaving our family with an overwhelming financial burden.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation will go directly toward providing the home health care she needs so she can focus on healing while remaining where she wants to be most—with her children and family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. Sharing this fundraiser and keeping our mom in your prayers means more than we can ever express.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us give our mom the opportunity to recover at home, surrounded by the people who give her the strength to keep fighting. ❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>05/2025 Sherri is a very strong, independent woman and is not one to ask for handouts. I am asking for any donations we can get to help relieve the financial burden she is about to endure.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sherri is the mother to 5 wonderful children and she has been recently diagnosed with brain cancer. This was very unexpected to her, her children and other family members.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>5/13/25 Sherri came into the ER with weakness, confusion, and headaches. A bunch of tests and scans were run and we discovered a brain tumor. This tumor is about the size of a golf ball right now. It is currently pushing her brain to the left and is causing swelling. She has been transferred to a more equipped hospital that has a neurologist there. The neurologist did more scans and has told us this is looking like stage 3 or 4 brain cancer. This has been devastating news for her, her children and other family. She is expected to have surgery Tuesday 5/20/25 to remove the tumor. After it’s removed and biopsied, we then will know what the next treatment steps are. It will either be radiation or chemotherapy. We are praying for a smooth surgery and recovery. This will be a long journey for Sherri and her family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her two 15 year old twins still live at home with her. We just found out this surgeon does not take her insurance, so this will all be out of pocket. I’m asking for any donations so we can keep her bills at home paid and the expected medical bills she will be stuck with. We appreciate any help we can get and prayers are much needed in this time. Thank you for taking the time to read her story.

<div>UPDATE : 9/1/25
</div>
<div>She is currently doing treatment with Integris.

<div>This is targeted radiation. (Pictures shown)

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She is 13 days into 30 because the machine has broken twice. They offered her other times, but explained how she plans her ENTIRE day around this. Even things at their facility like weekly blood work and seeing the Radiologist. It's difficult to juggle things on zero notice. It's far, gas isn't cheap and she can't afford to just go for blood work or a conversation with the radiologist which consists of "I'm supposed to meet with you weekly, do you have any questions."
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With Labor Day, it will be 3 weeks in a row with only 4 days. They only have one machine for everyone, which we find ridiculous.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Glioblastoma is the least funded of all cancers because only a VERY small percentage of people get it. They don't care if they die. Treatments have remained the same for decades. Doctors aren't allowed to discuss any alternative treatments, so they’re left on their own to try to figure it out, which is super sad and very scary.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She was denied hyperbaric oxygen therapy because there is no "visible wound". Once she is finished with radiation and can prove internal damage, they "might" approve it.
</div>
<div>Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is known to heal necrosis that radiation can cause. It also is known that cancer can not live in high oxygen areas. There are very few things that can penetrate the blood brain barrier. So she’s doing it out of pocket.
</div>
<div>But VERY grateful for the gofundme funds!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This disease isn't like any other "normal illness". She feels great, but she also felt great going into her second MRI and was shocked to find out there was a regrowth that fast!
</div>
<div>This literally is a one day at a time situation. Once radiation/chemo is over, she will get an MRI every 2 months, so it'll be constant waiting.
</div>
<div>She’s in a Facebook group for people with this disease and it has been a great comfort.
</div>
<div>There are multiple people in it that have FAR outlived their prognosis. SHE WILL BE one of these people one day! We are praying for total healing. We know God CAN do it and are praying and trusting that he will.
</div>
<div>If any of you pray, please pray this with us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fun fact: “I have lost my hair on the tumor site except a small stubborn tuft. I was going to cut her off, but decided if she's wanting to hang around, then I should let her. She might go or stay until the end, but it'll be on her terms!“

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Once treatment is done at Integris she will be switching to OU for more treatment options and hopefully better functioning equipment that won’t continue to delay her care plan.
