Hello! I'm Anna, and I am fundraising to send a team to compete at Sweet Julia Grace Foundation's (SJGF's) Adult Field Day.
SJGF is a nonprofit organization that aims to grant wishes to children who are medically fragile, have complex special/medical needs, or are currently facing a medical crisis. Every year, SJGF holds a fundraiser called “Adult Field Day.” This event is described as "recess for adults" - it is a day full of outdoor silly games like relay races, three-legged races, leapfrog, and much more… The event takes place in a big grassy field at The Farm Brewery in Haymarket Square, rain or shine, so the games are often extra silly because people are drinking pitchers of beer while “competing.”
The cost to register/send a team is $600 and is currently split equally amongst 9 players. Our team consists of 6 graduate students from the department, 1 graduate student from the physics department, and 2 non-GMU friends. If you would like to help reduce the cost per student, would you please consider donating?
The goal ($400) listed reflects the current cost for sending the 6 CLS department graduate students (6 x $66.67 = 400.02).
