I was living with my family in the north of Gaza, the occupation forced me to leave my beautiful home, leaving behind all my belongings and memories after the house was destroyed. I was displaced to the south of the Strip to live in a hospital and then in a tent in the road.

<div>“I was a university student in the second year of study, but I lost my university and my education. I even lost my hobby of horse riding after my horse, which I cared for, was targeted and killed by a bomb.

<div>“I hope that everyone who can will help me and donate to provide a safe and healthy life and to help me complete my education outside the Gaza Strip. I have a scholarship to study in Malaysia but unfortunately I am stuck in Gaza due to war.“

<div>My name is Hannah Rucker, from Virginia, USA and residing in Puerto Rico. I am close friends with Maysra’s older brother, Yousef, and many members of the Al-Madhoun family. Yousef asked me to help his youngest brother, Maysra, with a fundraising campaign. Maysra has the opportunity to study abroad in Malaysia and pursue a business degree. These funds will cover his evacuation and travel. The Rafah border is still closed at this time, but when it opens, we must be prepared to swiftly ensure Maysra’s safe passage and travel.

<div>Maysra is a civilian displaced and suffering from a war that is happening around him. All he wants is to continue his education in safety. These funds are strictly humanitarian and will be used to help this promising young man achieve his education, which has been disrupted.
