 But now, this light is flickering. Recent cuts to USAID funding have left Bright Star—and many similar organizations—struggling to meet the basic needs of these children. Without consistent access to medications, nutritious food, and healthcare, the progress we’ve made together is at risk.

 In a recent ABC News interview, Bayo Emmanuel shared the heartbreaking story of 14-year-old Migande Andrew - pictured below- who passed away due to a lack of access to HIV medication after USAID funding cuts. Bayo expressed the dire situation, stating that without support, the orphanage cannot afford the necessary treatments.
