This is for Roy Rodriguez.
He has a medical condition called Liddle's Syndrome. He's been dealing with it for about 4 years. It has gotten worse in the last year. He has to travel back and forth to Amarillo 5 times a week to get potassium infusions that take 4 to 5 hours to get. He hasn't been able to work since September 2024. It's really a hardship money-wise. His kidneys are releasing too much potassium and retaining too much sodium, which causes his blood pressure to be way too high, and low potassium causes bad muscle cramps. If he loses too much potassium, his heart could stop, or too high blood pressure could result in a stroke.
I'm asking for donations so we can travel to Dallas in the next few weeks to get a procedure called a renal denervation to hopefully bring down his blood pressure. That will help a lot if he doesn't have to worry so much about having a stroke. That's only part of our worries, but it's a big one. Eventually, he will need a new kidney to be able to survive. It's going to be a while before he gets put on the kidney transplant list. His doctor told him this will be fatal unless he gets a new kidney. We appreciate any help, and please keep him in your prayers. Thanks.
