Donate to Robin & Chris
On October 4th in the early morning, Chris Shaver and Robin Hilton were on their way into work. They were struck by a pick-up truck on the Elora Road near Ponsonby. Both Chris and Robin were rushed to the Fergus hospital. While Chris only suffered head trauma and a headache, Robin is in much worse condition. Robin has broken her femur bone in 3 places, her foot bones have been crushed and also has injury to her knee. Robin was rushed to Hamilton Hospital where she under went surgery from 5:30pm-12am that night.
Robin will have to endure lots of physio after her surgery. How much and for how long she will need to do physio, is unknown at this time. Breaking your femur bone is long and painful process and tends to lead to a long recovery.
