<div><strong>Why This Matters Now</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On June 13, 2025, the Benue region of Nigeria endured a genocide that took lives, displaced families, and left children more vulnerable than ever. In the months since, predators and human traffickers have continued to target communities still recovering from the trauma.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to a generous corporate sponsorship, Protect Us Kids Foundation (PUK) is delivering a Hybrid Online Safety &amp; Human Trafficking Awareness Seminar this September in Makurdi, Benue State — reaching 50 boys and girls ages 10–17 through our Youth Life Program.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What’s Changed</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In response to the community’s needs, the September event is being expanded to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Add extended training hours for deeper skill-building.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Include more interactive exercises so youth can practice real-life safety responses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Provide extra materials to equip them as peer advocates in their schools.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This expansion means greater impact — but it also means additional costs not covered by the original sponsorship.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why We Still Need Your Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need to raise $400 to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Cover the added training time, activities, and materials for the extended August seminar.
</li>
<li>Equip the new Peer Advocacy Network with resources for ongoing outreach.
</li>
<li>Provide follow-up support as the youth return to school, keeping them protected year-round.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Stakes</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These children are growing up in the shadow of a genocide. Without consistent reinforcement, the lessons from the seminar can fade — leaving them vulnerable to the very dangers we’re working to prevent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your gift today ensures they not only receive life-saving training, but also the ongoing tools and mentorship to stay safe all year.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Give — just $8 protects one child through the extended program and school-year follow-up.
</li>
<li>Share this campaign with your network to help us reach the $400 goal quickly.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donate now — help us protect Benue’s youth today, and keep them safe tomorrow.
