<div>Friends &amp; family, this is Priscilla Van Zanten ( born and raised in Jamaica). As I sit here in my home in Illinois, I can't help but think about the hundreds of thousands of Jamaicans with absolutely NOTHING! No home, food, clothes... Some are cut off from major cities because of impassable terrain/roads. Hurricane Melissa destroyed my beautiful homeland . Countless families have lost everything; their homes, belongings, and even access to food and clean water. Entire communities have been uprooted, and the road to recovery will be long and difficult.
