Hi everyone!!

Our names are Morgan and Aspen and we are currently students at Cape Fear Community College who are studying to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant! We are currently in our last semester of classes, and we are required to create a final project that is centered around Occupational Therapy!

In case you are unfamiliar with what occupational therapy is, let me explain! So occupations are what you find meaningful in your daily life. If something happens that disrupts your daily occupations, we come in and help find ways to get you back into doing the occupations that you love!

Currently, we are doing our fieldwork at a site that specializes in providing opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities to come in and work to make money, while also providing different opportunities for the clients to work on various skills that they could use in the community.

We are currently wanting to build a garden for our project, as it can allow the clients to have the opportunity to grow their own food and then use the food they have grown to create different meals! This site has been trying to figure out a way to create a garden, and we want to be able to help them with their vision! I have included a mock image of what I am trying to achieve!

As we know, gardening can be expensive. This is where we would like to ask you for your help if you are willing and able to help! We have a goal of reaching $700 to help fund this project of ours. 100% of proceeds will go directly into funding this project, and anything left over will be donated back to the community!

This program has been the light of our life these last almost two years, and we want to end it with a bang!
