Mike Sims was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer.
The plasma cells are a type of white blood cell in the bone marrow. With this condition, a group of plasma cells becomes cancerous and multiplies. The disease can damage the bones, immune system, kidneys, and red blood cell count.
Due to the need for aggressive treatment, he is no longer able to work. He will be starting chemo and radiation. in Jackson Tn, which is over an hour drive from their home. The oncologist is also ordering a bone marrow biopsy, to see if he is a candidate for a stem cell transplant.
With the bills still coming in, and Christmas right around the corner we are asking for any donations to help them out!
