<div><strong>Midnight recently developed azotemia, elevated kidney enzymes, and it was discovered he had kidney stones.</strong> He was diagnosed with an acute kidney injury due to the stone blocking his kidney. He spent three days in the hospital on fluids, which helped correct it. Unfortunately, the stone is now blocking his right ureter, causing hydronephrosis. He needs to see internal medicine and surgery at UGA to have surgery to remove the stone. His consultation to come up with a treatment plan will be around $1,000, with the surgery being between $4,000-$7,000. As an LVT, I always try to be prepared for medical emergencies with my animals, but I am currently paying off the $7,000 I had to spend to save my poodle Marley this summer. <strong>This is not easy for me to do. I am always the one that helps others and I never like asking for help, but I have to try to save him.</strong> Outside of this, Midnight’s quality of life is great! Most people think I’m lying when I tell them he’s 14 because he doesn’t act his age and was given a clean bill of health at his wellness visit just this past July. Please help us save our sweet boy!
