<div>I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out with a heartfelt plea to support an important cause that is very close to my heart—my education. My name is Michael Wilbert, and this fall, I will be attending Morehouse College to major in Communications and minor in Public Relations.

<div>Since birth, I have faced significant challenges. I was born with a speech impediment that restricted my communication until the 7th grade. Additionally, I have been a victim of constant bullying for being a Black male who dreams of being a dancer rather than conforming to traditional expectations like basketball or football. The trauma of being a member of the LG(B)TQ+ community further complicated my life, leading to depression, anxiety, and more. Through all of this, my mom—who has faced her own battles with breast cancer, domestic violence, and job loss—stood by my side. Together, we held on and pushed through.

<div>Despite these challenges, moving to Atlanta to achieve my dream of becoming a professional dancer has always been my goal. Over the past years, I wasn't sure if college was the right path for me, but I have since channeled my love and passion for dance into a motivation to pursue higher education. I believe I can excel in both areas simultaneously, and Morehouse College is the perfect place for me to do so.

<div>However, the cost of tuition is $52,000 per year, and despite my best efforts, I have not received sufficient financial aid to cover these expenses. With FAFSA also falling short, I am left with a significant funding gap to fill.

<div>I am reaching out to ask for your support in any form. Your generous donations will help ease the financial burden on me and my mom, making this transition smoother. My immediate goal is to secure funding for my freshman year, and I am eager to do whatever it takes to reach this milestone.
